Position Overview
Reporting to the Fluid Production Manager, the Labourer will provide work as part of the processing team to provide a range of support to Equipment Operators with a high degree of professionalism, organization and, time management. This position may lead to advancement into an Equipment Operator Role.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Including But Not Limited To)
- Proactively foster a learning safety culture by modeling a safe work ethic and promoting the value of open reporting and shared safety responsibility. Follow all safety policies, standards, and procedures in order to achieve a safe and healthy work environment for all staff, customers, and visitors. Similarly support Inland’s environmental commitments by helping to limit our organization’s impact on the ecosystem;
- Ensure that Inland is following all Government Labour, Health and Safety laws, regulations and policies;
- Abide by Inland’s procedural handbooks, operational plans, and directives of management to ensure that all work is done according to specifications and/or regulations;
- Keep all Inland owned or managed equipment, tools and materials in good working condition, including keeping clean and returning to assigned storage areas when not in use;
- Clean MVR plates, change filters on concentrators, clean cyclones, clean area in around and under concentrators, and cleaning heat exchanger plates;
- Maintain facility cleanliness and appearance including garbage removal, washroom cleaning and restocking and other general cleaning requirements;
- Promptly and accurately complete all associated paperwork as required;
- Perform and record light maintenance tasks and immediately report any repair requirements;
- Promote the best interest of the company by fostering goodwill and support between Inland and its customers ensuring that Inland’s policy of superior service and satisfaction are met;
- Understand and promote the Company’s mission statement, values and strategic goals;
- Understand and adhere to Company standards, policies, procedures and practices;
- Foster a team environment and create a “group culture”;
- Drive and maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity;
- To accomplish any other tasks that may, from time to time, be assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset;
- Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively;
- Ability to interpret documents including safety rules, operating, maintenance and procedure manuals;
- General mechanical competence and ability to effectively use hand tools;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Ability to maintain a positive and good-natured attitude;
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met.
