Who we are looking for:
We are currently searching for a Janitor to be based out of Kokomo, IN. Reporting to Maintenance Supervisor, this person will be responsible for general cleaning and maintaining all areas in good condition.
What you’ll do:
Janitor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Adherence to Atkore Safety / Life Saving Rules is paramount
- Demonstrate core values
- Clean all areas of the office, break room, locker room, bathrooms, and production areas
- Maintain building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
- Clean and supply restrooms
- Removing waste and empty trash
- Organize janitorial storage areas and keep supplies stocked
- Maintain a cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned
- Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or the need for repairs or maintenance
- All duties as instructed by supervision
- High school degree or GED equivalent
- 1-3 years of Janitorial experience
- Willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
- Flexibility of shift schedule including overtime and weekends
- Must possess an outgoing positive attitude, be a team player, and have strong work ethic
- Report and keep inventory of consumable supplies utilized for the position
- Have obtained full knowledge, timing, and understanding of the facility to complete necessary tasks efficiently
- Accurately report inventory levels of consumable items used in operation of this position
