The Facilities Group Hawaii (TFG HI) is a combination of two local companies that has provided facilities maintenance services to leading businesses in Hawaii for over 50 years. We provide comprehensive commercial building maintenance and cleaning services, including daily janitorial, carpet cleaning, floor stripping and coating, pressure washing, sanitizing, and building maintenance and repairs.

Day Porters for TFG HI are responsible for servicing various clients throughout the Island.  Customer properties include individual office suites, larger professional buildings, education and medical facilities, financial institutions, etc.  Our Day Porters a re a direct representation of the company to our clients and are instrumental with helping clients’ leave a positive impression of their business with their employees and customers.

Bottom Line:  A TFG HI Day Porter is an essential member of our Operations team. He or she must be reliable , hardworking, self-motivated professional who has high standards for customer satisfaction and problem solving.

What’s Expected Of You

  • Flexibility to work up to 40+ hours per week.
  • Maintain cleanliness of office suites, restrooms, and outdoor and indoorcommon areas.
  • Understand and effectively use theappropriate cleaningproducts and methods.
  • Must be consistently reliable, efficient, and have a high commitment to service excellence.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, high integrity, and self-discipline to dowhat’sright.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and adopt specific TFG HI processes.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and coworkers. 

Essential Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Janitorial or housekeeping experience is highly preferred but notrequired.
  • Must be able to work efficiently and follow specific directions.
  • Possess clear and effective communication skills. Basic Englishproficiencyis necessary.
  • Self-starter with strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. 
  • Must be able to: 
  • Comfortably lift 25 lbs.
  • Walk, stand, push, pull, reach, stoop, stretch, bend, sweep, wipe, mop, and vacuumfrequentlyforlong periodsof time (up to 4 – 8 hours).
  • Work nights and weekends
