About the Role – Uniform Attendant (Full Time)

Probationary Rate: $21.95

Hourly Rate: $27.44

At Park Hyatt Toronto, our Uniform Attendants play an essential role in maintaining the professional appearance of our colleagues and supporting our guests through exceptional garment care services. This role goes beyond standard uniform distribution—it requires attention to detail, technical skill in garment care, and a commitment to luxury service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain colleague uniforms, ensuring cleanliness, proper fit, and professional presentation
  • Operate sewing machines to perform alterations, repairs, and adjustments to uniforms
  • Conduct hemming, patching, resizing, and other garment alterations as required
  • Handle guest laundry services, including washing, pressing, and garment care with attention to detail
  • Perform minor alterations for guest garments when required, ensuring timely and high-quality service
  • Maintain accurate records of uniform distribution, inventory, and repairs
  • Ensure uniform room is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times
  • Inspect uniforms and garments for quality and report any issues
  • Provide courteous, professional, and discreet service to both guests and colleagues
  • Provide support to housekeeping operations as needed, including but not limited to:
  • Cleaning public areas to maintain hotel standards
  • Responding to late service requests in a timely manner
  • Counting and recording discarded linen
  • Preparing robes and rollaway beds
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Perform other duties as required while upholding Forbes 5-Star service standards

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in uniform/laundry operations or garment care preferred
  • Ability to operate a sewing machine and perform basic to intermediate alterations
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship in garment handling
  • Experience with guest laundry services is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, polished, and service-oriented demeanor
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays

Your Team and Work Environment:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Candidates may be required to complete a practical skill assessment as part of the second interview, including sewing machine operation and basic garment alterations.
