Job Summary
Under limited supervision provide office maintenance support to all Business Units in AEP Buildings for employee office and furniture relocations, conference room set-up/clean-up, systems furniture modifications, basic furniture repairs, audio/visual support and contractor oversight.

What you’ll do:
Essential Job Functions & Tasks
- Receive, coordinate and complete electronic requests for furniture changes, repairs, relocations and special requirements with timely and accurate service.
- Installs, modifies or repairs multiple types of furniture systems and office equipment.
- Provide oversight and direction to contractors completing various projects within AEP buildings.
- Assist in keeping building blueprints, records and files updated including the ability to create, modify and store electronic files.
- Review and provide feedback on contractors safety plans prior to beginning work on AEP property.
- Review contractor labor and material invoices for accuracy and submit for processing.
- Work with administrative assistants and/or others daily to set-up, tear-down and clean up conference rooms.
- Maintains, adjusts, set-up, tests, troubleshoot, supports, and trains users in conference room audio visual systems and equipment.
Education requirements are listed below:
High School diploma or GED.
Work Experience requirements are listed below:
2 years experience in furniture systems or maintenance / repair industry. Experience in audio/visual operations and maintenance of office audio/visual equipment.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid state driver's license.
Other Must Haves:
- OSHA 10 or 30 is desirable although not required
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) desired
- Basic computer skills in outlook, Microsoft Office with the ability to create and modify spreadsheets and word documents. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Must have the ability to read, interpret drawings, prints and diagrams related to assigned work.
- Strong customer skills – work effectively with all levels in organization.
- Promote safety and safe work conditions at all times enforcing company safety policies.
- Position requires occasional overtime
List physical demands required for this job, but not limited to:
- Lift and move boxes, (crates), office furniture and panel systems up to 100 pounds up to 33% of the time.
- Ability to move palletized materials with pallet jack.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Climbs ladders up to 10 feet.

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: H – Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
