Group Overview
Aerospace Engineering Group (AERO) is responsible for developing and delivering Metrea’s aviation engineering and integration capabilities, focusing on aircraft modification, system integration, and technical project management. AERO takes mission requirements and transforms them into operational assets by designing, engineering, and integrating new systems and technologies. The group manages aviation project lifecycles, from concept to testing, ensuring aircraft modifications meet performance, safety, and airworthiness standards. With a unified structure, AERO leverages its engineering expertise and project management capabilities to enhance Metrea’s aviation fleet, supporting a range of specialized operations through innovation and technical excellence.
Position Summary
The Production Planner will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing production schedules and work packages for aircraft modification programs conducted under FAA Part 145 and Part 21 regulations. This role ensures alignment between engineering content, material availability, labor resources, and regulatory compliance to support on-time and high-quality aircraft integration.
What You'll Do
- Develop and manage detailed production schedules using Microsoft Project PWA
- Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of materials and labor
- Translate engineering drawings and work instructions into executable work packages
- Monitor progress against schedule and adjust plans to mitigate delays or resource constraints
- Interface with FAA maintenance tracking systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, changes, and approvals
- Participate in planning meetings and provide status updates to program leadership
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning efficiency and accuracy
- 3+ years of experience in production planning within an FAA Part 145
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project PWA and other scheduling tools.
- Familiarity with FAA maintenance tracking systems (e.g., Veryon, CAMP, TRAX, etc.)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred
- Knowledge of aircraft systems and modification processes is a plus
