Responsibilities
- Contribute to planning, coordinating and executing the Bank’s involvement in conferences, trade shows, education sessions and mortgage broker appreciation events.
- Assist in managing the annual event calendar, including sporting events.
- Visit venues to plan layout of seating, menu, overall design and décor.
- Coordinate event logistics - including researching, negotiating and securing event spaces, budget management, registration and attendee tracking, arranging presentation and / or marketing materials and promotional items.
- Collaborate with internal Creative team to promote and publicize the event through channels such as email and social media.
- Foster new and nurture ongoing relationships with external partners including event managers for brokerages and broker associations.
- Organize and maintain inventory of event set-up equipment and marketing materials.
- Assists with invoice management and reconciliation.
- Contribute to the post-mortem evaluation of events to measure success and make optimization recommendations.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in event planning.
- Post-secondary or college certification in Event Planning, Event Management or related program.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Good knowledge of event design, flow and logistics.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Capacity to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work well with tight timelines.
- Ability to be onsite for events during the day and some evenings/weekends.
- Must be able to lift as much as 30 lbs., as some event set-up may be required.
