Description

We have an immediate opening for a Clinical Research Coordinator who will work with human specimens. The Clinical Research Coordinator is an entry research position, responsible for assisting in clinical research studies, obtaining informed consent, collecting, maintaining and organizing study information. This individual assist in the preparation and submission of grant applications and documents (e.g., Institutional Review Board, Grants and Contracts Office).

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the activities related to clinical research including, but not limited to: obtaining informed consent and screening participants for eligibility.
  • Assists in the collection of specimen from different departments in the hospital for analysis in the lab.
  • Maintains source documents in accordance with Mount Sinai policies and procedures. Ensures accurate, confidential and complete compilation of data.
  • Enters relevant clinical information in the REDCap database.
  • May assist in the preparation for regulatory agency site visits.
  • Assists with IRB submissions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in science or related field preferred or a combination of relevant research experience and education
  • 0-2 years of research/human subjects experience

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or related field preferred, or a combination of relevant research experience and education
  • 0-2 years of clinical or laboratory research experience
  • Candidates who are planning to attend medical or graduate school in the future are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $17 - $41.0783 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
