- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash in classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and ensure they are well-stocked with supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of school grounds, including entrances and outdoor seating areas.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., changing light bulbs, unblocking sinks, etc.).
- Restock cleaning and maintenance supplies as needed, and inform administration when supplies need to be reordered.
- Set up and break down spaces for events, meetings, or activities.
- Respond to spills, accidents, or urgent cleaning needs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure the school building is secure at the end of the day, locking doors and setting alarms as necessary.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Assist with any additional custodial or maintenance duties as directed by the administration.
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, safety procedures, and maintenance equipment is preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends.
- Competitive hourly compensation for this position ranges from $25/hr. - $30/hr.
