Position SummaryReporting to the Flight Attendant Manager, the Flight Attendants are ambassadors of safety and customer service onboard each Perimeter flight. Perimeter Flight Attendants take pride in putting their best foot forward to offer a safe and comfortable environment for all passengers; they make an immediate and lasting positive impression.Personal CharacteristicsHighly flexible, with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic environmentProfessional and respectful, with a positive work attitudeTimely with a high level of commitment to on-time performance is essentialMotivated with the ability to work independentlyEffective verbal and written communication skillsAble to handle stressful situations in a calm and effective mannerCustomer Service-oriented with a commitment to exceptional serviceProven time management skills with strong attention to detailHigh level of respect, understanding and regard for First Nations communitiesKey Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesParticipate in crew briefings and obtain necessary flight informationConduct pre-flight checks of the aircraft and ensure that all emergency and safety equipment and commissary are prepared for flightMake safety and service announcements/demonstrationsPrepare cabin for take-off, landing and monitoring inflightOffer a selection of snacks and beverages, and ensure the safekeeping of revenues obtained during flight in an organized and professional mannerProvide leadership, direction and assistance to passengers and colleaguesCabin preparation and groomingPre-flight and post-flight paperworkStock and re-stock the aircraft commissaryPerform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and all regulatory requirementsAbility to successfully complete a minimum four-week initial training program including written and practical examsDemonstrate sensitivity to the unique environmental, cultural and business needs of diverse northern cultures and communitiesAssist in the offloading of freight if necessaryPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Required Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalentMinimum one to two years Customer Service experienceMust be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizationsMust possess a valid passportIndigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an assetWorking ConditionsPhysically able to perform all listed job dutiesTravel by aircraft and other means as required by roleMust be able to work a flexible schedule and be able to travel for extended periodsWork performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditionsAble to work independently as Perimeter Aviation utilizes a single flight attendant environmentAble to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
