THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the Facilities Coordinator, the Facility Assistant plans, organizes and supervises sports stores activities and equipment according to established policies and regulations. They supervise employees and input employee hours into the pay system. They supervise the issue and receipt of sports equipment and maintain inventory of equipment. They supervise and complete performance checks and minor maintenance on equipment, and perform scheduled and non-scheduled inspection of equipment
Qualifications Needed
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND several years of experience in a related field
AND
Valid Drivers License (Province)
Valid DND 404 Military Driver’s Licence, an asset
Knowledge
In the issuing of sports equipment
In the preparation and maintenance of outdoor sports facilities
In equipment maintenance/scheduling
In loss prevention
In inventory control
In record keeping/invoicing
In personnel administration
Experience
In scheduling and organizing activities
In applying policies, procedures, and regulations
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
Language Requirements
English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset
Reading: Functional
Writing: Functional
Oral: Functional
