GFL Environmental is looking for a motivated, hardworking General Labourer to join our Abbotsford team. This role is essential to maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and professional appearance of our facility and yard.
Schedule
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (8 hours per day).
- Note: Shift patterns and total hours are subject to change upon completion of the probationary period.
- Facility Maintenance: Perform general cleanup of the shop and office exterior.
- Yard Upkeep: Regular litter pick-up and debris removal to ensure site safety.
- Surface Care: Power washing equipment, bins, and walkways; basic painting and touch-up work as needed.
- Landscaping: Basic yard maintenance to keep the perimeter tidy.
- Growth: Adapt to new operational duties as they are assigned by the supervisor over time.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions (rain or shine).
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Reliability is a must—consistent attendance for the Tuesday–Thursday block is required.
- Previous experience in power washing or general maintenance is an asset but not required.
- Must be comfortable with the potential for schedule shifts after the initial training/probationary phase.
