Project Manager – Business Change

Location: Burnaby, BC (Hybrid – Up to 2 Days per Week Onsite)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Manager – Business Change to support a major organization undergoing business transformation and process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a project management professional with experience leading change management programs, stakeholder engagement activities, and business process improvement projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering low- to medium-complexity business change projects while ensuring objectives are achieved safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate business process change and transformation projects from initiation through implementation.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, communication plans, action logs, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Monitor project progress, resources, risks, issues, and benefits realization.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and maintain strong working relationships across business groups.
  • Support project scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting activities.
  • Prepare project documentation and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Conduct needs assessments and support organizational change initiatives.
  • Ensure projects are delivered according to established timelines, budgets, and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change management initiatives.
  • Experience conducting needs assessments and supporting business transformation projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
  • Experience working within utilities, public sector, or Crown corporation environments.
  • Experience using Smartsheet for project planning and reporting.
