Credit Analyst - Energy (Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund)
We are partnering with a leading global multi-strategy hedge fund, seeking to add an Energy-focused Credit Analyst to a growing investment team.
This role sits within a long/short credit strategy and focuses on fundamental, high-conviction investing across corporate credit, primarily within the Energy sector.
The team combines deep fundamental research with a disciplined, process-driven approach, and is looking to add an investor who can contribute differentiated ideas within a collaborative framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep fundamental credit analysis across energy issuers, with a focus on bonds and leveraged loans
- Generate actionable long and short ideas, supported by clear catalysts and risk/reward frameworks
- Analyze commodity exposure, capital structure, and liquidity profiles to underwrite downside scenarios
- Incorporate market data, relative value, and cross-capital structure perspectives into idea generation
- Collaborate with Senior Investors and broader teams to refine views within a structured investment process
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in credit investing, leveraged finance, or buy-side research, ideally with energy exposure
- Strong grounding in financial analysis, valuation, and credit underwriting
- Ability to assess complex capital structures and downside risk
- Interest in combining fundamental investing with a structured, data-aware approach
- Clear communicator with the ability to present high-conviction investment ideas
