Job Description

We are currently seeking someone who is eager to learn, committed to having a safe and healthy workplace and to ensuring the delivery of quality products for the position of Shipping Receiving Clerk in our Stoney Creek, ON Branch.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that customer orders are shipped on time and according to the due date
Manage deliveries by organizing loads, locating and contracting trucks and searching for the best truck rates
Check purchase orders against incoming material and customer orders if applicable
Complete bill of landing according to picking tickets and identify discrepancies in quantities and weights
Accurately receive inbound material while maintaining traceability of product
Liaise with plant supervisor to ensure proper scheduling of orders for late/early pick-ups and deliveries
Recognize schedule of internal process to develop scheduled deliveries
Provide Contractors with registration and sign-in directions.
Investigate inventory discrepancies in the warehouse.
Provide support to various departments including administration.
Provide direction to customers and drivers on plant safety policies and procedures when picking up and delivering loads

Education And Skills Required

Minimum 1 year shipping experience in a manufacturing/unionized environment.
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Metals industry product knowledge is preferable.
Knowledge of Metalware would be an asset.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000
