Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Associate is responsible for supporting the full-cycle recruitment efforts for Pier 4 and working with the team to implement innovative recruitment techniques to ensure that Pier 4 is able to secure top talent for key roles across Canada.

This role will be an integral part of the Human Resources team. Responsible for developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and acting as an ambassador of Pier 4 our culture and values. This individual will be a self-starter, highly motivated and thrive working in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full cycle recruitment efforts on a national level.
  • Build meaningful relationships with hiring managers, helping to secure top industry talent.
  • Determine the most suitable channels to attract and recruit
  • Continuously identify innovative and creative ways to attract key talent, ensuring that Pier 4 is on the leading edge of recruitment initiatives.
  • Review all resumes and employment applications for suitability and fit.
  • Conduct initial phone screens with qualified candidates and provide recommendations on which candidates should continue through the recruitment process, ensuring that incumbents satisfy the requirements of both the role and Pier 4’s culture.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for active and passive candidates, specifically for key roles that are critical to successful business operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve upon existing recruitment metrics, minimizing the amount of time that it takes to close roles and increasing the amount of quality applicants.
  • Stay current with latest hiring trends and strategies, offering innovative and creative ways to attract key talent.
  • Work with the team to create meaningful relevant reporting.

Experience And Qualifications

  • University degree or College diploma in Human Resources.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in talent acquisition in a fast paced, high growth, environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task, overseeing the recruitment efforts for an average of 10 open roles at a time.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with candidates across all skill sets and job responsibilities.
  • A self-starter and highly motivated, possessing the ability to manage tasks with little oversight and deliver results with minimal guidance.
  • Strict commitment to discretion and confidentiality.
  • Experience within the Property Management and/or Investment industries considered an asset.
