A Strategic Role at the Heart of Our Operations
We are seeking a strategic leader who will play a pivotal role in the company’s growth. You will be responsible for securing our supply sources, developing long-term partnerships with suppliers, and optimizing our entire supply chain within a fast-growing manufacturing environment.
Reporting to senior management and serving as a member of the executive leadership team, the incumbent will play a key role in the company’s overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy and Supplier Development
- Define and implement the overall procurement strategy for all raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials;
- Ensure the availability of critical materials while optimizing costs, quality, lead times, and inventory levels;
- Develop and maintain a strong network of local and international suppliers to support the company’s growth;
- Identify, qualify, and onboard new strategic partners to mitigate supply risks and enhance the company’s competitiveness;
- Continuously monitor market trends to anticipate price fluctuations, supply challenges, and business opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, supply contracts, and long-term agreements;
- Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards;
- Monitor supplier performance through measurable key performance indicators;
- Actively support new product launches in collaboration with product development, production, and sales teams.
- Oversee the entire procurement process to effectively meet short-, medium-, and long-term production requirements;
- Collaborate closely with planning, production, and operations teams to ensure optimal alignment between demand, inventory, and purchasing activities;
- Optimize inventory levels and inventory turnover;
- Ensure inventory accuracy and continuously improve replenishment processes.
- Coach, lead, engage, and develop a multidisciplinary team responsible for purchasing and inventory management;
- Set priorities, support employee development, and foster a culture of performance and continuous improvement;
- Guide teams in achieving operational and strategic objectives.
- Serve as the SAP Business One Super User (Master User) for procurement, inventory, and purchasing functions;
- Optimize processes, tools, and performance metrics to improve supply chain efficiency;
- Ensure data integrity and promote best practices within the department.
- Participate in the executive leadership team and contribute to the company’s strategic direction;
- Act as a business partner to various departments to support growth initiatives and performance improvement projects;
- Provide strategic analyses to support decision-making related to purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
- Ten (10) years of experience in procurement management within the food manufacturing industry;
- Five (5) years of experience managing teams;
- Excellent command of both French and English is required to communicate effectively with our English-speaking suppliers;
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or another field relevant to the position;
- Strong negotiation skills;
- Proven experience working with an ERP system (SAP experience is considered an asset).
