About the Opportunity:
The Shipping and Receiving Team Leader oversees the Shipping and Receiving department and is responsible for managing daily shipping operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining the quality and delivery standards our customers depend on.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and perform daily shipping and receiving functions, including preparing shipments, creating packing slips and invoices in the ERP system, and processing incoming shipments with accurate documentation
- Verify Certificates of Conformance (C of C) and packing lists on inbound shipments; provide receiving documents to Accounting
- Supervise and develop the Shipping and Receiving team, including conducting performance evaluations and providing daily feedback
- Plan and assign daily workload to meet shipping schedules and throughput goals
- Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Accounting, and Customer Service to ensure on-time, accurate shipments
- Monitor department KPIs and submit weekly reports as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Review and approve timecards
- Proven experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment
- Working knowledge of shipping and receiving functions, including ERP systems, packing slips, invoices, and Certificates of Conformance
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and hold a team accountable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- 1 to 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
- Experience with ProCIM or a similar manufacturing ERP system
- Familiarity with a PCB or aerospace/defense manufacturing environment
- Monday to Friday
- 1st Shift (7:30am to 4:00pm)
- Overtime and weekends as required
