We are a well-established, privately held transportation services organization with over 20 years of success. Our team delivers essential transportation solutions to a diverse range of clients, including public and private institutions.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR and operational processes within a fast-paced environment. This role partners closely with HR leadership and operations teams to ensure efficient workforce support across a mix of full-time staff and a large seasonal workforce.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, process-driven HR work and thrives in a hands-on, administrative environment.
HR Operations (Primary Focus - ~70%)
- Administer employee benefits (enrollments, changes, terminations, ACA tracking)
- Maintain accurate employee records, certifications, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
- Process employment verifications (high-volume, recurring)
- Administer leave programs, including state-paid medical leave and FMLA tracking
- Manage unemployment claims and responses through state systems
- Prepare termination documentation and payroll-related updates
- Support HR audits, compliance initiatives, and annual reporting (including 1094/1095)
- Provide administrative support to operations leadership
- Assist with office coordination including supplies, mail, and organization
- Support operational leaders with HR-related documentation and processes
- 3-5 years of HR experience
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- High attention to detail with ability to manage repetitive, process-driven work
- Comfortable supporting high-volume HR workflows
