Job Description:
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Wages: Commensurate with experience
Competition closing date: Upon hire of a qualified candidate
We are looking for the right person to join our team. This position will provide direct support to the HR Department and various programs in areas such as staff training, front-line benefits, wellness management, scheduled evaluations, maintaining employee data in ADP or other databases, back-up support of the ADP Time & Attendance function, and other administrative tasks as may be assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Experience with the ADP system is an asset.
- Well-developed communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to work with a variety of people in a team environment.
- Ability to work closely with administrative team members to provide support to employees. Excellent customer service skills. Written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong adherence to confidentiality guidelines.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to balance competing demands/priorities. Ability to multitask and thrive within a busy work environment.
- Ability to demonstrate work with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Prior experience in a high-volume/fast-paced environment. A high commitment to deadlines is required.
- Positive attitude and mature work ethic coupled with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Formal education in the Human Resources field is an asset.
- Preference will be given to applicants with relevant Human Resources work experience.
- Must be outgoing, friendly, and possess a positive and professional attitude, with an awareness and adherence to strict confidentiality guidelines.
- Minimum keyboard speed of 60 wpm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ADP preferred.
Responsibilities:
Direct Administrative support, which may include, but is not limited to:
- Coordinate, schedule and conduct HR orientations.
- Support full-cycle recruitment (screening applicants, reference checks, wage assignments, HRM system entry, etc.).
- Processing documents such as wage increases, prompting and processing annual performance reviews.
- Scheduling and preparing materials for training.
- Mandatory/non-mandatory training processes, such as registration, reminders, etc.
- Follow up with internal and external candidates.
- Data entry, record keeping and documentation.
- Receiving and responding to enquiries from staff and external parties.
