The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for balancing customer demand, production planning, and
material supply to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. This role coordinates across demand
planning, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics to maintain optimal inventory levels and service
performance.
Responsibilities Include:
Demand & Forecast Alignment
- Analyze demand forecasts and historical trends
- Collaborate with sales and demand planning to validate forecasts
- Identify risks (shortages, excess inventory, seasonality)
- Develop and maintain production schedules
- Align manufacturing capacity with demand requirements
- Coordinate with operations on constraints and priorities
- Plan and release purchase orders for raw materials/components
- Manage supplier schedules and lead times
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust safety stock as needed
- Partner with manufacturing, logistics, and finance
- Support S&OP / SIOP processes
- Communicate supply risks and mitigation plans
- Track KPIs (service level, inventory turns, forecast accuracy)
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency
- Assist department with tasks as needed
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related)
- 2-5+ years of supply chain, planning, or manufacturing experience
- Strong Excel, Google Docs, and data analysis skills
- Netsuite experience
- APICS/ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM)
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Analytical thinking
- Proactive ability to evaluate and apply AI solutions to improve work processes
- Problem-solving under constraints
- Communication across teams
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
