You will report to the Managing Director, Investments, and work on-site at our Chicago, IL office Monday-Friday, with travel up to 25%.
The salary range for this role is $120K - $220K, plus an annual bonus.
Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and execute student housing acquisition and development opportunities across U.S. markets
- Lead the underwriting, financial analysis, and overall evaluation of investment opportunities, working closely with a team of associates and analysts
- Collaborate with development, capital markets, asset management, and property management teams to execute investment strategies and business plans post-closing
- Manage key transaction processes including negotiations, due diligence, legal documentation (LOI, PSA, JV agreements, etc.), and preparation of investment committee and capital partner materials
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, investors, lenders, and industry partners while helping position Article Student Living as a leader in the student housing sector
- Lead, mentor, and develop investment team members to support sourcing, underwriting, and execution efforts
- 6-10 years of experience in student housing or multifamily development and/or acquisitions with a strong track record of successful transactions
- Established network within the student housing or broader real estate investment community
- Demonstrated leadership and team development experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in real estate, finance, business, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field
- Ability to travel up to 25%
