- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience working in a creative discipline (e.g., writing, filmmaking, video editing, design, art direction, photography, etc.).
- A portfolio of creative work displaying experience in Graphic (Motion), Brand, Interactive, Conceptual, Experiential, or Technology design.
- Degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or related field with 5 years of experience at a creative agency or in-house brand team.
- Experience collaborating with internal motion teams and external creative partners through ambiguous briefs and high-stakes deliverables.
- Experience in campaign-based motion design for global brands (not limited to editorial or static design).
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma, with the ability to build motion systems for multi-resolution platforms.
- A portfolio showcasing excellence in motion design across multi-channel campaigns and various digital formats.
As a part of the Motion Designer, you will be responsible for partnering with Design Leads to lead motion design for major Google Brand campaigns, such as Year-in-Search and high-profile cultural moments across sports and entertainment. You will leverage extensive knowledge of design systems and excellence in aesthetic development, establish the motion systems and standards for high-profile brand initiatives. You will partner closely with teams across Creative and Brand to ensure the team's work is innovative, strategically sound, and executed to a "Google-grade" standard across all campaign touchpoints.Know the user. - Ensure alignment between creative and technical goal and processes, and initiate technical and creative changes for optimal story development.
- Drive high-profile campaign motion design from initial conception through to final production, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
- Incorporate complex feedback from stakeholder reviews to ensure "Google-grade" execution and alignment with strategic campaign objectives.
- Operate as a subject matter expert in current and compelling practices of motion storytelling, video production, and contemporary brand design.
- Craft conceptual motion assets that convey complex brand narratives through visually excellent and technically sound executions.
