About The Role
AI is rapidly becoming a primary source of health information for millions of people — and it needs to get things right. We're looking for public health professionals with advanced training to help shape how leading AI models reason about epidemiology, health policy, biostatistics, and global health equity.
This is a rare opportunity to apply your MPH expertise at the frontier of AI development, working directly with cutting-edge large language models on high-impact, meaningful work — all on your own schedule.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
- Design complex public health scenarios — including disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, and statistical interpretation of epidemiological data
- Author authoritative, evidence-based responses — synthesizing peer-reviewed research, CDC/WHO guidelines, and current public health best practices
- Audit AI-generated health content — evaluating accuracy, identifying misinformation, and flagging ethical issues or logical gaps in AI health reasoning
- Refine AI reasoning — provide structured feedback that helps models distinguish correlation from causation, communicate health risk clearly, and respond appropriately across diverse populations
- Uphold scientific consensus — ensure AI outputs reflect rigorous, ethical, and evidence-based public health standards
- Holds an advanced degree in Public Health — MPH, MSPH, or a closely related graduate-level qualification
- Strong foundational knowledge in at least two of: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy
- Able to translate complex health data into clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive written content
- Detail-oriented when evaluating statistical significance, data citations, and the logic of health interventions
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently on asynchronous tasks
- No prior AI experience required
- Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or research coordination
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata
- Background in health communication, clinical research, or public health surveillance
- Work at the forefront of AI development alongside leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and how much suits you
- Freelance autonomy with meaningful, intellectually stimulating work
- Contribute to AI that impacts how millions of people access health information
- Potential for ongoing contract renewals and expanded project involvement
