Maintenance Person position is vital in ensuring our hotel and restaurant facilities are well-maintained, safe, and operational. Located at Holiday Inn and East Side Mario's, this role supports our mission to deliver excellent guest experiences by maintaining the integrity of our premises.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel and restaurant equipment and facilities.
- Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance for the hotel and guest rooms
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues efficiently.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS software.
- Assist with renovations and painting projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Support other team members in maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities or maintenance work, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools like Ohmmeters.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Leadership or supervising experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of CMMS software is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Must have Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residence or a valid open work permit to apply for this job
Pay: From $19.40 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
