The Clinical Research Assistant works closely with the clinicians, clinical researchers, manager and/or P.I. to assist in study operations. This position includes many of the basic tasks of the clinical research process, such as entering data, conducting literature searches, conducting focus groups etc. You will report to the Senior Clinical Manger of SCAN as well as the Primary Investigator. The current projects focus on Secondary Traumatic Stress (STS), Disordered Eating, Contraception, Nutritional Neglect & CSVT Studies.
Here's What You'll Get To Do
- Contribute to research aimed at staff health and psychological well-being, improved patient care models and patient outcomes
- Literature reviews
- Data collection
- Data cleaning and management
- Qualitative interviews, focus groups
- Post-secondary degree in sciences, social sciences or a health-related discipline. Previous research experience is preferred.
- Function independently yet collaboratively within a team.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, facilitation and organizational skills.
- Understanding and effective demonstration of a trauma-informed care approach
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet and MEDLINE searches).
- A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity and inclusion objectives
