Role Overview
Initio Sphere is onboarding Investment Research Scouts to identify, evaluate, and introduce qualified investment opportunities to our investor and fund manager network.
Role
This is an independent contractor role. Scouts operate through a verification and approval process rather than traditional employment. Once approved, Investment Research Scouts:
- Source and submit proprietary or off-market investment opportunities
- Conduct early-stage research and provide high-level market and investment insights
- Work directly with capital allocators and sponsors on live opportunities
- Earn transaction-based compensation for deals that close
- Build a verified deal track record within the Initio Sphere ecosystem
What You’ll Do (Approval-Based)
Approved Investment Research Scouts May
- Identify proprietary or semi-proprietary investment opportunities
- Introduce deals to Initio Sphere’s investor and sponsor network
- Provide early-stage research and deal context: market, asset, structure, economics, and investment thesis
- Coordinate initial introductions between deal principals and capital partners
- Support analysts with early diligence handoff (modeling and detailed financial analysis handled by analysts)
Eligible Deal Types
Based On Approval, Scouts May Submit Opportunities Across
- Commercial real estate (multifamily, industrial, retail, mixed-use)
- Private equity and growth equity transactions
- Operating businesses and special situations
- Structured or opportunistic investments
Compensation & Economics
- Success-based compensation only
- Typical earnings: $1,000–$10,000+ per closed deal
- Paid upon successful transaction close and fee collection
- Exact economics vary by deal size, structure, and Scout role
- No caps on earnings for consistently high-quality research and sourced deals
- Submit an Investment Research Scout application and background information
- Complete verification and category approval
- Get activated on the Initio Sphere platform
- Begin submitting qualified deals to the network
