Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, the Site Services Operator will be responsible to safely support site surface operations through a variety of tasks and duties. The successful candidate will work locally on a 7/7 schedule.
The Focus Of This Role Will Include
- Complies with all safety requirements and observes all company policies and procedures
- Support site infrastructure/buildings, both interior and exterior maintenance needs with direction from supervision
- Trouble shoot equipment when it is not functioning properly
- Operating a variety of mobile equipment to maintain the waste management facilities and site roads in a safe, sustainable and environmentally effective manner
- General labourer duties
- Other duties as may be required
- Minimum Grade 12 education or GED
- 3 years’ of relevant work experience
- Carpentry experience considered an asset
- Valid Driver’s license
- Experience on loader, forklift, and other mobile heavy equipment
- Ability and willingness to perform manual labour as required for this position
- Ability to take direction and be a team player
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors – in all elements
- Excellent reading, writing and communication skills are essential
