Edon is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support our building operations across the Edmonton area. This full-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, works well independently, and brings a practical, problem-solving approach to maintenance work.

What Will Make You a Great Fit

To Excel In This Role, You Should Be
- Minimum of two three years previous experience considered an asset
- Completed Grade 12 education
- A clean driver’s abstract and willingness to travel between sites within Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Leduc, Stony Plain, and Spruce Grove
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold a valid 5th class power engineering ABSA ticket
- Ownership of and ability to carry a sufficient set of tools to perform day-to-day maintenance tasks independently
- Able to use basic power tools and complete basic building maintenance
- Basic command of the English language (written and verbal)
- Exceptional skills in communications, organizational, interpersonal and time management
- Plumbing and HVAC knowledge would be considered an asset
- Proven experience in exercising good judgement under pressure
- Physically fit, able to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time an lift in excess of 25 kilograms
- Carpentry/Construction skills considered an asset
- Strong customer care and communication skill
As a Maintenance Technician, Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
- Performing general maintenance tasks such as interior door repair and installation, interior painting, drywall repairs, and other related duties.
- Utilizing a wide range of self-provided hand and power tools, with knowledge of basic carpentry skills including painting and drywall repair, is considered an asset.
- Supporting building operations and functions as required, including contractor escorts, on-site orientation support, and follow‑up with contractors on completed work.
- Responding immediately to on-demand service requests and emergencies related to client and building operations.
- Troubleshooting building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire alarm panels.
- Completing routine inspections and required documentation, including weekly and monthly checks/tasks, logs, full interior and exterior building inspections, and roof top checks.
- Performing and tracking preventive maintenance (PM) activities and time‑sensitive reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual basis.
- Identifying and reporting all deficiencies to the Operations Supervisor and Maintenance Scheduler to ensure consistent, worry‑free service delivery.
- Using Edon systems and tools proficiently, including work orders, expense submissions, time sheets, mileage tracking, and learning plans, while working independently and efficiently.
